A. Miranda, M.D.
Doctor Miranda began
practicing orthopedic medicine in 1986. A graduate of Stanford
University, Dr. Miranda earned his Medical Degree from the
University of California, San Francisco and served his internship at
Harbor UCLA Medical Center. His ensuing residency in orthopedic
surgery at UCSF gave him both the experience and the confidence
necessary to deliver superior, cutting-edge treatment.
Dr. Miranda treats his patients and partners like extended family,
and they have come to count on his friendly, yet direct, approach to
treatment. He applies professionalism and honesty to all aspects of
his practice, and his ability to counsel patients in both Spanish
and English ensures they understand his analysis and can express
their concerns without conflict.
Dr. Miranda currently practices general orthopedic surgery with a
special interest in sports medicine and total knee replacement at
Muir Orthopaedic Specialists. As President of the group, he’s gained
the respect of his peers with his selfless commitment to improving
patient care. Committed to the community, Dr. Miranda has also
served as the team physician for St. Mary’s College for almost 20
